Greenhouses require precise climate and soil monitoring to maintain optimal growing conditions. Farmers face challenges in automating ventilation and climate control while ensuring a non-invasive, wireless solution to prevent contamination and disruptions.

Solution

An IoT-based smart greenhouse system that continuously monitors temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, and soil moisture, enabling automated control of motors and fans for climate regulation.

Deployment

Wireless LoRaWAN® sensors are installed throughout the greenhouse to track environmental conditions. Data is transmitted every 10 minutes to an indoor gateway, which then relays commands to UC1114 controllers that regulate fans and ventilation. If temperature or humidity exceeds thresholds, the system automatically adjusts ventilation by opening sidewalls and activating fans. The entire setup is monitored remotely through the Milesight IoT Cloud.
